A creator's secret weapon...

Howdy Reader!

My friend Lou Mongello has this great response whenever someone he meets for the first time asks him, “What do you do?”

Lou’s response?

“Whatever it takes…”

I LOVE that. I happily admit that I’ve stolen that and used it on many occasions and will continue to in the future. (Sorry, not sorry Lou!)

It’s very true that as entrepreneurs, we wear many hats, and by wearing so many hats, we look weird to the non-entrepreneur muggles out there.

One minute, we may be wearing our sales hat, trying to land a new client.

The next hat may be learning how to edit a new video with AI.

Another hat may be putting together a new speech for a conference.

Being a creator is never boring.

BUT!

It can be lonely.

I truly believe that any success I’ve had in business is due to being part of a community.

And being in a mastermind is a big part of that.

I’ve been in a group with 2 other guys for over 10 years. That one formed because I wanted to learn to podcast and connected with Erik Fisher and Anthony Witt at a podcasting conference.

Another weekly group I meet with has been going for over 5 years and came together as a place for digital creators to grow spiritually and encourage each other as dads and husbands, all while striving to be men of integrity as they run an online business.

I’m also in a paid mastermind with some of the top creators in the country in Jay Clouse’s The Lab.

I also run a weekly paid mastermind with my friend Paul Gowder where we help creators and entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level with weekly support and trainings. The members aren’t just clients or colleagues; they’ve become friends and confidants.

Are you sensing a pattern here?

I REALLY believe in masterminds.

Being a creator can be lonely UNLESS you find other people like you who have gone through the same things, and can help you get to where you want to go WAY easier than having to do it by yourself, with no roadmap.

That’s why I’m excited to announce that Paul and I will be opening a SECOND mastermind up for applications.

This is a select group. Paul and I work hard to bring people together who will work together, build something special, and actually provide value to their businesses.

What you can expect:

  • Weekly calls for accountability, strategy, and support
  • Hot seats to get unstuck fast
  • Templates, trainings, and playbooks we actually use
  • A small, vetted cohort that becomes your inner circle

If this sounds like something for you, just hit reply to this email and I can chat with you about the details.

We can’t take everyone, and there is a financial investment. We also ask for a 6-month commitment because around that time is when we’ve found the group really starts to gel and begins to make a difference in your business.

If this sounds like a group for you, let me know!

See ya around the interwebs,

-Jeff

P.S. There is a time constraint on this. We keep the group small intentionally, and spots may fill up quickly. So hit reply ASAP if you’re interested!

Howdy Reader! First of all the bad news… No show today, I’m traveling back home from vacation today, and the interwebs here won’t handle a live show. BUT I’ve got some great news! If you didn’t have a chance to check out Ecamm’s training yesterday, don’t worry, because TODAY is the second round of training and you can still get in! All of the presenters are pros at being on camera, and more than just knowing what buttons to press, they are also experts at being HUMAN on camera. With people...

Howdy Reader! There's a saying that you hear around East Texas. "That guy's all hat and no cattle!" For those of you who haven't grown up around livestock, it basically means that someone may talk big or dress the part, but actually lacks the experience or results to back it up. That definitely is NOT the case with my friend Katie Fawkes. You know I’m a big fan of Ecamm. They’ve sponsored my show from day one, I’ve spoken at their events, and I count the team as friends. Katie’s been in my...

Howdy Reader! Tomorrow’s episode of Creator News Live is a conversation I wish I’d heard much earlier in my creator journey. True confession: My high school guidance counselor said I had a learning disability in math, so I should probably be a mechanic or funeral director and stay away from computers. (Worst advice ever! Look at me now, Mr. Gordon!)So, needless to say, math was never my strong suit, and it has caused me a lot of anxiety during my creator and entrepreneurial journey.I have a...
